Moose Creek Manor is one of www.inbigbear.com's vacation properties. It was very bizarre to me that after much research there were no reviews on this cabin .. because there SHOULD BE!!! As first time Big Bear Vacationers we really did not know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. My family and i were watching the cabins one by one as we proceeded uphill to our destination on Georgia Street .. "Is it that one? This one?" but as soon as we arrived at Moose Creek Manor we all became overly delighted. This cabin was the most charming little cabin on the block .. Definite Curb Appeal .. decorated with natural wood, red and green trim. Immediately it gave a sense of comfort and uniqueness .. true "cabin" appeal. On the front porch there were two rocking chairs that were completely hand crafted from natural wood .. and the in-the-ground jacuzzi was right on the deck situated in a corner which everyone in my family was excited about! The cabin itself was very neat and clean and decorated according to it's name. The Front Living Room has the fireplace and one of the coziest chairs i have ever sat on! The Front Living room has a 3 person sofa and two chairs next to the fireplace .. there is also a small sitting bench under the window on either side of the fireplace. BBQ pit in the backyard which cooked up some great dinners .. ice dispenser on the fridge door.. Window air conditioning ... There was ice cream and snacks left in the cupboards, the fireplace worked great and was very enjoyable, there was toilet paper stocked inside of the vanity and the beds were neatly made. There were tons of board games and video's inside the wooden cabinets in the back family living room .. as well as two large sized futons with big huge pillows and a huge fluffy foam "bean bag." The front hallway contained the spacious bathroom and the guest bedroom which has a queen sized bed and a twin. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and it's own bathroom which was impressive with marble countertops and all. NOTE* The guest bathroom shower operation handle to change it from Hot & Cold was confusing for me at first, took me a while to figure out that the temperature adjustment goes from SIDE to SIDE and not in a circular motion as most do ......... The location itself was great and convenient as well .. Just a short drive all the way down the street and you will be at Swim Beach .. a great swimming location for families with children or anyone that wants to people watch. There is a snack bar and lifeguards on duty from what i had seen. Georgia Street also directly intersects with Big Bear Blvd (the main drag) All in all the cabin itself was MORE than what everyone in my family had expected, it was spacious yet cozy and had all the comforts of home. Truly a unique experience, and we'd all love to travel back there someday.
Sidenotes* PET FRIENDLY! (Thank God because we couldn't travel without oour precious pup) FREE WI-FI INTERNET! Bring bug repellent/spray!..........The pictures on their website do not really give this cabin justice.
